do i know you?
i did this face recognition test today and look! i'm pretty good.
i've got 89% correct, average being 80%.
but the problem is....
matching names to the faces.. arg..
the other day one of the install crew visited the gallery and had this weird 5 second lag of recognizing him.
"where did i see him before... where... where..."
then it hit me... yes, he worked with us in january... duh...
we had brief conversation (about 5-8min) and as he was leaving, he asked me what my name was again (a ha! you forgot it too!). so i replied and he asked if i knew his name...
uh oh... well.. i said gary... but it was actually gerry. oops... i was close though.. i probably thought it was gary since he spells his name with g. ahhhh what a lame excuse... anyways...
this test can be done here. good luck!

rosewater
i fell in love with rosewater the moment it touched my hands ♥
it's by far the best hand lotion i've ever used.
plus, the tube makes it feel like i'm going to paint my hands

my sister and i made this banana vinegar the other day. it is apparently a new-cool-thing amongst dieters in japan.
recipe:
1 part banana
1 part honey or brown sugar
1 part vinegar
add them all in a clean glass jar.
let the banana sit for 2 weeks (shake it once a day) and take the banana out, use the vinegar. ta-da!
we used red wine vinegar since i am not a huge fan when it comes to sour things, so chose milder vinegar.
you can drink the vinegar a day after it's made but make sure to take the bananas out on 14th day of making.
the taste is quite refreshing! not too bitter or sour as i thought it would be. i added a spoonful of my magic juice to a cup of water and drank it. result: delicious! well.... not exactly..... it's not your fruit juice or sugar-loaded beverage, but a healthy choice of flavoured water.
apparently if you have a spoonful before your meal, it helps boost your metabolism and reduce body fat content in time. this is kinda sceptical, but i am going to believe that it has all the wonderful benefits of vinegar which i don't eat very much. for most part, i feel i have more energy and don't get too tired after workout. well, at least something's working for me.
my sister and i were in doubts when first making the vinegar, but it taste great and gives me energy boost, so yay for banana vinegar. it also makes amazing salad dressing.. yuuuuummmmmm :-D

sitting properly
i spend most of my day sitting in front of a computer. often i find myself leaning to the side, sunken into the chair or getting closer and closer to the monitor. really. i better fix this asap. i don't wanna end up having to go to a chiropractor or worse. i've put up a little post-it by the monitor to remind myself of my posture. lol. hope i can keep this up, enough to get used to. :-S

Heidi Taillefer, Venus Envy
As per Heidi: "The painting Venus Envy is a work emphasizing the beauty and potency of women and motherhood. The name “Venus Envy” is a play on words of the Freudian Penis Envy, and implies the enviable female advantage of being the carrier of new life. With the predominance of taboos and limitations against women in so many cultures throughout the world, the piece exposes with pride and irreverence, female characteristics, whether beautiful or unsettling. It is an attempt to absolve women of their generally complex nature, and free them from harsh social standards foisted upon their physical, social, and spiritual selves. It also explores the sensuality of pregnancy, and the mystical and intimidating power with which it was once regarded." -from von Scaramouche

just couldn't take my eyes off this painting....
