caves, beach and blueberries

it was a long weekend and carl and i took a full advantage of it :-D

it was our first trip alone together...to collingwood!!

the suspension bridge was bit scary.. with everyone rocking it... but the scenery was beautiful.

we were actually worried that we might run into a bear in the woods but no bears or wildlife animals frightened us.. the warning sign indicated if we see a bear we should fight we all we got if all other fails.. scary~

we simply had to follow the arrows to explore the caves and the hiking trail. the scenery was gorgeous and took sooooo many pictures... my fave was the woods though.. the caves are cool but i loved the quiet and serene atmosphere. wish i could go there everyday.

and we saw this scary shrek sculpture in the kids playground... very well deformed... the face was bit scary too. what's with the shoulders? really?

the next day, we went to wasaga beach... it was a gorgeous day.. not too hot... but sunny! we didn't bring swimsuit so didn't really get to play in the water but wading was just enough to enjoy and cool off from the sun. it made me miss the annual family trip to the sea in korea....

on our way back home, we stopped by Barrie to pick some blueberries... they are so yummy!!! though the sign said not to eat while picking, but we ate a whole bunch anyways... and our fingers ended up turning purple... it was an awesome weekend... too bad it went by so fast.... next time.... niagara wine tasting perhaps? lol
