It's been a while since I took a trip down to the west queen west for gallery hopping,
especially with my artsy-geeky-ROM friends...

O CANADA group exhibition at Stephen Bulger gallery.
Archival photos of Canada was an amazing exhibit.
It seems millions of years ago, yet still places are recognizable.
Niagara Fall scenes were spectacular, people skiing down a little hill covered in snow and snow and snow... with the frozen Fall right next to them.
Wish I could have experienced that...

Michael Caines, Revelations of Dog @ Katharine Mulherin
Always something interesting to see at Katharine Mulherin.
It was a very clever interpretation of the Bible, the God as a black poodle.

"Caines has folded political cartooning into the project as a way to inject current themes into an historic work. This approach is playfully in line with historicist interpretations of Revelation, wherein the text is seen as a kind of map of history, prefiguring events and figures of significance." (from his statement)
Will Gorlitz:, nowhere if not here @ MOCCA
Fun at MOCCA. Loved the orientation of the paintings, especially, very unique and untraditional. loved it!
François-Xavier Chamberland, Time Passing / Le Temps qui Passe @ Propeller Centre for the Visual Arts
Free ideas.. NOT!! nothing is free in this world.... literally. This work reminded me of Griffin brothers' works.

Susan Carr, Wired @ *new* gallery
Wired was so beautiful. The wires at first seem very jagged and harsh, but it creates elegant curves as it is formed in a structure as a necklace or a giant wall piece. This was very innovative exhibition that I enjoyed the most today.
I really missed our night outs... The three of us used to volunteer at the ROM together for about 2 years and became close friends since then. Sharing the strangest things like a ridiculously long finger and toe nails to just regular boy problems to 200lbs people falling down to the unit below while crapping or sitting on boyfriend and suffocates him. lol. A very artsy and fartsy day well spent!
