bubble tea shop

my favourite bubble tea shop in chinatown.
i can never remember the name (as you can see it's not very catchy...)
but i love their bubble tea. until last year, it was only 2.50 for a small milk tea with tapioca. now it cost 2.75 cold or hot. i find their original milk black tea is the best here. very rich in tea flavour and just the right amount of sweet. the owner lady is super kind and sweet too :D
it's a takeout place, there's a bar and few stools but not really a place you want to sit and chat (or read or whatever). it's at the corner of dundas w and huron (i love google street view. awesome)

3♥ weekend

some fun stuff carl and i did over our 3yr anniversary weekend.

went to see avril lavigne concert....um... yea.. we did....

had to borrow carl's shoes cus i only had heels. they were so big on my feet. weird walking around with big shoes.. must be what the clowns feel like...

saw a cute dog popping his/her head out the car window every 5 minutes as we were passing by

st. mary's. the pretty little down between london and stratford.

went to see 'the homecoming' at avon theatre in stratford. what a weird play... :$

and had yummy indian food near by the theatre. mmmmmmm

last but not least, carl made me one of my all time fave dish, ddukboki (떡볶이). it's spicy ricecake korean dish. yum... it was so so so good, i ate until i couldn't eat anymore. it was very special since carl's not much of a cook. thanks sweetie for making the weekend wonderful♡

waterloo and laurier

we visited carl and his friends' uni campus to reminisce and commemorate their student-lives at uwaterloo and wilfrid laurier.

scribble scribble on the black board

angry birds at laurier bookstore.... carl and i were hooked on playing angry birds on our phone and itouch.

laurier soccer field

kings residence... uh... we did not sneak in... we were... uh... invited..... :$ (photo by ray)

this little place called mr.panino beijing house used to be italian restaurant but the new chinese owners kept the name of the business and runs chinese restaurant. funny.

whale fall

Whale Fall (after life of a whale) from Sharon Shattuck on Vimeo.

lately i've been hooked on watching documentaries on earth, especially the ocean. i am captivated by the school of herrings or sardines as they move in beautiful and harmonious groups until the attack from their predators. it's a wonder. i love seeing mysterious and alien creatures living deep down the bottom of the ocean and whales! if you like and care about whales, i recommend you watch sharkwater and the cove. the cove in particular was enraging. but because of the few that make changes in the world, we are more aware of what goes on around the world and prevent from happening in the future.

anyways, this short animation is truly amazing. i am so moved and glad i came across watching it. beautifully done.

cheltenham badlands

the weather was perfect on the weekend.
carl and i made it just in time for a short but memorable visit to the cheltenham badlands in caledon.
the leaves were turning their colours and the water eroded clay hill was quite something to see.
